Privacy Policy
Firmware Drive ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Firmware Drive, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and country.
- Billing information: billing address and order/invoice details when you make a purchase. Card and other payment details are handled directly by our payment providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) - we do not store your full card number.
- Usage & security information: your IP address, browser/device fingerprint, and download activity. We use this to enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, and keep accounts secure, for example, by restricting how many devices a subscription can be used on.
- Wallet & transaction history: your wallet balance and a record of orders, invoices, and transactions made on your account.
- Cookies: we use a session cookie to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (such as your selected currency). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account, and to provide the downloads and services you pay for.
- To process payments and send you order confirmations, invoices, and receipts.
- To respond to support requests and communicate important updates about your account or our Service.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- To improve the Service based on how it's actually used.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service, such as payment processors and hosting providers, and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us.
- Law enforcement or other parties when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Firmware Drive, our users, or others.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of our assets - your information would remain subject to a privacy policy at least as protective as this one.
4. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage of sensitive fields and secure password hashing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Choices
You can view and update most of your account information at any time from your Profile Settings. If you'd like your account or data removed, contact us, and we'll assist you, subject to any records we're required to keep (for example, for tax or fraud-prevention purposes).
6. Children's Privacy
Firmware Drive is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've collected such information, we will delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and where appropriate we'll notify you directly. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
